 The Itel S25 Ultra, launched in November 2024, is a budget-friendly smartphone that combines modern features with affordability. It draws design inspiration from premium models like the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, evident in its sleek back panel and camera layout. 



Design and Display


The device boasts a slim profile, measuring just 6.9 mm in thickness and weighing 163 grams. Its 6.78-inch AMOLED display offers a resolution of 1080 x 2436 pixels, delivering vibrant visuals. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother interactions and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. Additionally, the S25 Ultra features IP64-rated dust and splash resistance, enhancing its durability. 


Performance


Under the hood, the Itel S25 Ultra is powered by the Unisoc T620 chipset, built on a 12nm process. Its octa-core CPU configuration includes two Cortex-A75 cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 1.8 GHz, balancing performance and efficiency. Paired with 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and storage options ranging from 128 GB to 512 GB, the device caters to various user needs. It runs on Android 14 with Itel's custom OS 14.5, promising up to two major Android upgrades. 



Camera System


The smartphone features a triple-camera setup on the rear, headlined by a 50 MP primary sensor with an f/1.6 aperture and phase detection autofocus (PDAF). Complementing this are a macro lens and a depth sensor, enhancing versatility in photography. For selfies, the S25 Ultra is equipped with a 32 MP front camera, capable of recording 1080p videos at 30fps. 


Battery and Charging


A robust 5000 mAh lithium-polymer battery powers the device, supporting 18W wired fast charging. This capacity ensures extended usage, catering to users who demand longevity from their smartphones. 


Additional Features


The Itel S25 Ultra includes an in-display optical fingerprint scanner, dual SIM support, and offers connectivity options such as Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB Type-C. However, it lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack, a consideration for users relying on wired audio accessories. 


Market Positioning


Positioned in the budget segment, the Itel S25 Ultra aims to provide a feature-rich experience without a hefty price tag. Its combination of a high-refresh-rate AMOLED display, capable camera system, and substantial battery capacity makes it a competitive option for cost-conscious consumers seeking modern smartphone functionalities.
